There were 3 different versions of this watch and this is the second version that we have paid homage to. The DSSD is rightfully named because the original was actually not used as one of the test subjects for the deepest dive watch attempts. The ‘Display’ in it’s name is because this version was only part of a travelling exhibition. Even so, it has great significance as the only available original drawing of the case dimensions are for the DSSD and not the DSS1960.

It is more streamlined, and lower in profile. Unlike the DSS1960, it has a lower solid domed sapphire glass and does not have any gold plated parts on the case. We went through painstakingly changing the dial graphics and handsets to echo the original versions although only 5pc of this watch has been made. It is a more wearable and modern version of the DSS1960. The use of titanium and overall colour scheme lends a more subdued appearance that only serve to highlight the gold accents of the dials/ hands and the domed glass.

It is a true connoisseur’s watch, both as a remembrance of dive watch history as well as a serious real world dive watch capable of ridiculous depths.
